Grow Food. Grow Community.

  • Science Museum of Virginia 2500 West Broad Street Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

How can everyone in our region have good food – food that's good for our bodies, good for the environment, and good for our communities? Since 2009, Shalom Farms has focused on increasing access to healthy food and the support to live healthy lives. Dominic Barrett, Shalom Farms’ executive director, will explore the intersections of sustainable agriculture and food insecurity, and discuss how Shalom Farms' work seeks to ensure that all have access to food that is good for our bodies, for our environment and for our communities.

This presentation is free and is part of a series of outstanding talks on environmental issues! Each month a noted speaker addresses the local Falls of the James Group of the Sierra Club on environmental matters. Talks are the second Tuesday of each month at the Science Museum of Va. and are free and open to the public.
